Full Breakdown

04, titled Use of Sports Facilities, has two parts. Division (A) sets tennis-court reservation rules: players reserve a court no more than 24 hours ahead, singles get a one-hour block and doubles get two hours, and the Parks Director may charge a nominal fee to cover scheduling and enforcement. Division (B) is the operative skateboarding rule: surfaced courts 'are to be used for their intended sports only,' and the code names bicycles, skateboards, rollerblades and rollerskates as prohibited on those surfaced courts. The prohibition targets the surfaced sports courts specifically, not the whole park, so skating on a park roadway or in a parking area instead falls under the separate motor-vehicle-and-equipment rules elsewhere in the same chapter.

Because Boone County's park system serves only the unincorporated county, this rule has no effect on courts inside Florence, Union or Walton, which regulate their own recreational facilities under their own municipal codes. 17, and it has not been separately amended since.
