Full Breakdown
Sec. 9-277 adopts the 2021 International Property Maintenance Code, with "Code Enforcement Division manager" substituted for "code official," as the Orange County Property Maintenance Code governing structures and premises. Under Sec. 9-276, this article applies only in areas of the county not within any municipality, so Orlando, Winter Park, and the county's other cities enforce their own separate maintenance codes for rentals within their limits.
Violations & Fines
The county may order repairs or demolition of a noncompliant structure and record a special assessment lien against the property for the cost under Sec. 9-278, or take emergency action under Sec. 9-279.
