Vacation rentals must comply with Seminole County Code Chapter 165 (Noise), which prohibits excessive noise between 11:00 p.m. and 7:00 a.m. The registration self-certifies this, and the rules must be posted in the unit for guests.
The vacation-rental ordinance requires the Responsible Party to self-certify that use of the rental complies with Chapter 165 (Noise) of the Seminole County Code of Ordinances, which prohibits excessive noise between 11:00 p.m. and 7:00 a.m. Under LDC Sec. 30.1375(a)(4), the mandatory 'Transient Occupant Information' binder must include Chapter 165 Noise and LDC Sec. 30.1302 Noise so guests know the standards. Advertising must also disclose the noise restriction. Because Florida authorizes local noise regulation of vacation rentals (the same rules applied to residential uses), the County can enforce quiet hours even though FS 509.032(7)(b) bars it from limiting rental duration or frequency.
Noise complaints are enforced through Sec. 30.1376 and Code of Ordinances Sections 53.14 and 53.24; violations can also be reported to the Seminole County Sheriff's Office at (407) 665-6650.
