Appleton, WI Short-Term Rentals: Parking Rules (2026)

Appleton has prohibited overnight on-street parking between 2:00 a.m. and 5:00 a.m. citywide since 1965, and the rule applies to short-term rental guests parking on residential streets. Hosts and guests can request up to seven nights per calendar month of overnight parking permission through the Appleton Police Department's online portal at applications.appleton.org/departments/pd/op1/ or by calling (920) 832-5500; permission is automatically void during snow emergencies and special events. On-property parking is governed by Section 19-91 of the Appleton Municipal Code, which defines a residential driveway as the area leading directly from the street to a garage, carport or rear-yard parking area and limits front- and side-yard parking outside that defined driveway.
