Little Chute, WI Short-Term Rentals: Parking Rules (2026)

Little Chute is policed jointly with the Village of Kimberly by the Fox Valley Metro Police Department. The Village of Little Chute's published Overnight Parking policy provides that 'vehicles are not permitted to park along Village streets or in Village-owned parking lots between 2:00 a.m. and 6:00 a.m. between December 1st and April 1st.' The Village offers an exception process: residents and visitors may submit an online overnight-parking request through the Village website and 'each residence will generally be granted up to seven (7) requests per winter season,' with permission automatically void during inclement weather. Parking citations are issued by the Fox Valley Metro Police Department, which can be reached at (920) 788-7505 with citations payable at the FVMPD office or in the after-hours drop box; cash, personal check, or money order are the only accepted methods of payment. The Village does not by ordinance restrict on-street parking outside the December-April window, but Wis. Stat. Sec. 346.55 still applies citywide and prohibits parking on a sidewalk, in front of a public or private driveway, within an intersection, on a crosswalk, within 15 feet of a fire hydrant, or in any other location where parking is prohibited by official traffic-control device. Guest cars exceeding the host's driveway capacity must use a legal off-street space or apply for the Village overnight parking exception. The Inspections Department at 108 W Main Street confirms that driveways and parking slabs require a permit before installation under the Village's residential building permit table. Wis. Stat. Sec. 66.1014(2)(b) preserves municipal authority to enforce parking ordinances against STR guests, so a host's seven-night winter exception cap is shared with the host's own household and visitors.
