Under the proposed STR licensing program, each operator must share a parking plan with renters. Minimum parking requirements are one space for studio and one-bedroom STRs and two spaces for larger units. These proposed requirements supplement the county's broader Ordinance No. 2024-02, effective January 2025, which regulates parking on unincorporated county roads and targets oversized vehicles and trailers in residential neighborhoods. Violations of the parking ordinance carry $150 fines. Currently, without adopted STR regulations, only the general county parking ordinance applies to rental properties.
