As part of the DPIE application under CB-11-2018 (Subtitle 5, Division 8), the host must provide proof of ownership and a homestead property tax credit copy, attest the unit is their permanent residence, install and photograph smoke and CO detectors and fire extinguishers, post emergency contact information and a fire-exit floor plan, notify any homeowner or condominium association, and prove that written notice of intent to apply was given to the neighbors immediately left, right, front, and behind the property. The host also lists platforms used. Each license expires annually on its issuance anniversary; the host must renew 30 days before expiration and provide a guest log. Contact changes must be reported within five business days.
