Apply online through Boulder County Community Planning & Permitting. The application must include proof of insurance, ownership, primary residence (if applicable), a parking plan, floor plan, a sales tax license, and notice to adjacent neighbors.
Section 4 lists the application requirements: an online application with all owner and Local Manager signatures; proof of insurance; proof of primary residence (Colorado ID plus a Sworn Statement); proof of ownership via current deed; a parking plan; a floor plan showing smoke, CO, and fire-extinguisher locations; proof property taxes are paid; and a sales tax license. Applicants must mail or email a copy of the license to immediately adjacent neighbors and post it inside the unit. The county may refer applications to Public Health, Building Safety, and the Wildfire Mitigation Team. Failure to supply requested information within 180 days withdraws the application.
Incomplete applications are withdrawn after 180 days. Operating before the license is issued is an unlicensed-operation violation subject to escalating fines and possible revocation.
