Brevard County Code §62-3204 regulates temporary yard sale signage. Signs are limited to 4 square feet and 4 feet in height. Maximum duration of display is 72 hours before and during the sale with removal required within 24 hours after the sale ends. A maximum of 3 off-premises directional signs allowed on private property with owner permission. Signs prohibited on utility poles, traffic signs, mailboxes, and in the public right-of-way. The county permits up to 3 garage sales per residence per calendar year. Code Enforcement removes illegally posted signs on sight. Common problem areas include SR A1A medians in Satellite Beach, Indian Harbour Beach, and Merritt Island intersections.
