Imperial County, CA Sign Regulations: Political Signs (2026)

Under Imperial County's sign chapter, temporary political, religious, or civic campaign signs may go up for no more than sixty days and must come down within fifteen days after Election Day. In residential areas each sign is capped at twenty square feet and six feet in height. A sign left standing more than twenty days after the campaign ends draws a seventy-five-dollar fine for every day it remains, and no campaign sign may be placed at a road intersection where it blocks a driver's line of sight. The rule sits in the county's general sign standards chapter and applies countywide in the unincorporated area.
