Full Breakdown

Pima County Code § 10.45.040 bars anyone from conducting, managing or sponsoring an organized special event, a mass-start race, block party, grand opening or similar activity, on a public street or right-of-way in unincorporated Pima County without first getting a permit. Violating any permit condition is grounds for immediate revocation. Applications go to the Traffic Engineering Division at least 90 calendar days before the event under § 10.45.050, covering the route, road-closure times, staging areas and traffic control plan. Covers only unincorporated county rights-of-way, not Tucson, Marana, Oro Valley, Sahuarita or South Tucson.

Violations & Fines

Permit violations are grounds for immediate revocation under § 10.45.040; § 10.45.160 sets penalties for conducting an event without a permit.
