Full Breakdown
Sec. 118-271 requires anyone who organizes, participates in, or starts a parade of 25 or more persons or five or more vehicles in unincorporated Cobb County to obtain a parade permit from a public safety official designated by the county manager beforehand. Funeral processions, supervised school activities, and government agencies acting within their functions are exempt. Applications must be filed at least five days ahead under Sec. 118-272, and officials weigh traffic, police, ambulance and fire-access impacts before issuing a permit under Sec. 118-273.
Violations & Fines
Holding an unpermitted parade that meets the 25-person or 5-vehicle threshold is a Code violation enforced under the general penalty in Sec. 1-10; the director of public safety may also restrict parking along the parade route.
