Euless, TX Trash & Recycling: Bin Placement Rules (2026)

Euless regulates cart placement under its property maintenance code to preserve neighborhood aesthetics and prevent obstructions. Residential solid waste and recycling carts may be placed at the curb no earlier than 6 PM the evening before the scheduled collection day, and they must be retrieved from the curb within 24 hours after pickup. Between collection days, carts must be stored out of public view from the street. In most Euless single-family neighborhoods, this means storing carts behind a privacy fence in the rear or side yard, inside a garage, or tucked against the side of the house in a location not visible from the primary street. Carts visible from the right-of-way outside of the permitted placement window can result in a property maintenance warning followed by a citation for continued violations. Additional curbside placement rules require at least 3 feet of clearance from parked vehicles, mailboxes, fire hydrants, utility poles, and other carts to allow automated trucks to operate. Carts must be placed with the lid opening facing the street and wheels toward the house. Construction debris, hazardous waste, batteries, paint, tires, and electronics are not permitted in standard trash carts and must be handled through appropriate disposal channels such as the Tarrant County HHW program. Violations are typically resolved through education first, then citations with fines that can be issued by Code Compliance.
