Full Breakdown
Under the county's site and design standards for R-1 through R-4 zones, every trash receptacle on a new residential project must be screened so it isn't visually obtrusive from any off-site location. The screening's location and method must minimize nuisance, keep solid-waste removal practical, and win the planning director's approval before plans are finalized.
Violations & Fines
Plot plans lacking approved trash-receptacle screening are not approved; building and grading permits won't issue until the planning director signs off on the screening design.
