Prince George's County collects bulky trash curbside for households on County service. Residents may set out up to four acceptable bulky items on their regular collection day; appliances, white goods, scrap metal, and electronics require a scheduled appointment through PGC311.
The Department of the Environment provides bulky-trash collection to households receiving County-contracted service. Residents can place up to four (4) acceptable curbside bulky items on their regular collection day (increased from the previous two). Standard bulky items may also be taken to the Brown Station Road Convenience Center at 3501 Brown Station Road, Upper Marlboro, MD. Appliances and 'white goods' require a scheduled curbside appointment made online or through PGC311. Curbside electronics recycling and scrap-metal collection is by appointment only on the third Monday of each month for County-serviced households. Bamboo must be prepared like yard trim (under 4 feet, tied, limit 4 bundles). Household hazardous waste is not accepted. Report a missed bulky collection through PGC311.
Setting out more than the allowed bulky items, mixing in household hazardous waste, or dumping bulky goods off schedule can cause a skipped collection or a property-maintenance violation. Illegally dumped bulky items are enforced by DPIE and the Police Department.
