Full Breakdown
County Code § 22-10(c) imposes container-area design review on any new, substantially remodeled, or expanded building except one- or two-family dwellings. Commercial buildings of 15,000 square feet or more, housing with seven or more bedrooms, or any site generating a cubic yard or more of waste weekly must provide container areas at least 10 feet wide, 7.5 feet deep, and 6 feet high, served by a 12-foot all-weather access road with a 32-foot collection-truck turnaround and 15-16 feet of overhead clearance.
Violations & Fines
Design plans are checked by the Permit and Resource Management Department before building permits issue; noncompliant container areas are rejected at plan review, and unresolved violations after occupancy are enforced as County Code § 1-7 administrative citations and notice-and-order abatement.
