There is no municipal curbside program in Prince William County. Households either hire a permitted private refuse-and-recycling hauler (which sets the schedule and supplies the cart) or self-haul waste to the Landfill & Compost Facility at 14811 Dumfries Road, Manassas. Effective January 3, 2026, facility hours are Sundays 7 a.m.–4 p.m., Thursdays 7 a.m.–6 p.m., and all other days 7 a.m.–4 p.m. Use of the landfill is limited to County residents and businesses and residents of the towns of Dumfries, Occoquan, Haymarket, or Quantico; visitors must show proof of residency such as a Virginia license or a County tax bill.
Landfill use is restricted to eligible County/town residents and businesses; proof of residency is required. Scavenging is prohibited and the 15 mph speed limit and no-passing rule are enforced on site.
