Manatee County Code Chapter 2-16 (Solid Waste and Recyclable Materials, Ord. 25-28) makes collection mandatory: all solid waste and program recyclables generated by residential property in the unincorporated county shall be collected and removed by an authorized collector (Sec. 2-16-4). Residential service includes one pickup per week for solid waste, one for yard waste, and one for program recyclables, all collected on the same day (Sec. 2-16-31). Prohibited acts under Sec. 2-16-101 include placing out mixed/commingled loads or setting waste in unauthorized locations; violations are offenses against the county subject to Code Enforcement.
