Developers must plant replacement trees on-site or contribute to a tree replacement fund. Replacement trees must meet minimum caliper and height requirements and must be maintained for a specified period.
Failure to plant required replacement trees violates permit conditions. Trees that die within the maintenance period must be replaced. DERM may require bonds for compliance assurance.
