Garage ADUs must comply with ADU size limits (900 sq ft / 50% GFA), architectural matching requirements, and building code (780 CMR). Detached ADUs must also comply with accessory building requirements in Brookline ZO Β§Β§ 5.63 and 5.72 (height and massing standards). A building permit is required from the Building Department.
