Benton County, AR Animal Ordinances: Exotic Pets (2026)

All animal owners of an exotic wild animal shall obtain a permit annually from the county clerk's office on a form to be determined by the clerk, such annual cost not be exceed $3.00. The permit shall be for the purpose of identifying the animal owner, identifying the type and number of exotic wild animals, the location of the animal, and any other information relating to the animal which the clerk determines to be consistent with public safety. (b)<w:t xml:space="preserve">All animal owners of exotic wild animals shall have 60 days from the effective date of the ordinance from which this article is derived to obtain the permit from the sheriff. (c)<w:t xml:space="preserve">The permit requirement shall apply to all animal owners of exotic animals in the county.
