Wichita Falls, TX Animal Ordinances: Pet Limits (2026)

Once a household owns or harbors five or more animals not already covered by another chapter permit (fowl, livestock, kennel, etc.), the Animal Services Center requires a pet fancier permit. Every animal on the permit must be spayed or neutered, current on rabies vaccination, licensed, and microchipped, unless it is registered with a recognized national show organization. The director can deny a permit if the property lacks adequate space or sanitation for the number of animals kept, or if the owner has two or more documented violations in the past twelve months.
