Auto Repair on Residential Property

Running a vehicle repair business out of a home is unlawful in Titusville under Sec. 13-76, and even repair activity that is excessive, prolonged or unusual enough to disturb neighbors' quiet and comfort is treated as an illegal repair business. Repair parts, tools and equipment cannot sit out on any property longer than forty-eight hours unless enclosed.

Titusville requires any adult bookstore, adult motion picture theater, adult dancing establishment, or adult motel/hotel to hold a city adult entertainment business tax receipt before opening, under Code of Ordinances § 11-84, and § 11-101 keeps every such use at least 750 feet, property line to property line, from another adult business, a bar, hotel, church, school, or pawnshop, and from most residential zoning districts.

It separately bars lap dances, specified sexual activity on the premises, and admitting, employing, or serving anyone under 18 as a patron or worker. Violations are prosecuted under § 1-15 and may go before the city code enforcement board.
