Edison Township bars cannabis establishments within 1,000 feet of any residential property, childcare facility, school, college, park or house of worship, and within 500 feet of a halfway house, correctional facility or another cannabis business, per Code § 37-5.5(j). Public hours run 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. daily, and no one under 21 may enter, per § 37-5.5(b)-(c).

Refusing to allow the Health Department, Zoning Official, Police or Fire Department to inspect the premises under § 37-5.7 is a separate, independently punishable violation.

Edison Township did not opt out of cannabis businesses, but zones licensed Cannabis Establishments into one small area southeast of Woodbridge Avenue between Amboy Avenue and Mill Road, banning them everywhere else.
