Cocoa bars mechanically powered construction, drilling and demolition tools between 10:00 p.m. and 7:00 a.m. Even inside allowed daytime hours, the work still cannot create a noise disturbance at or across a property boundary, unless it is bona fide emergency work or covered by a city variance.

Repairing, rebuilding or testing a motor vehicle, motorcycle or motorboat so loudly it crosses into a neighboring residential property is a separate violation under City Code § 13.5-23.

Cocoa bans yelling, shouting, whistling or singing loudly enough to create a noise disturbance anywhere in the city between 10:00 p.m. and 7:00 a.m. The same nighttime window also restricts electronic devices, loudspeakers and construction equipment under neighboring provisions of the noise article.
