Loading Zones

Edinburg caps passenger loading at two minutes in marked loading zones and requires commercial loading to be done expeditiously, with orange curb markings identifying each zone.

Key details: Passenger loading limit: 2 minutes. Merchandise loading: Only as long as needed. Zone marking: Orange lines, curb-painted. Alt. parking-space use: Max 2 spaces, no alley/zone.

Exceeding the two-minute passenger limit or overstaying a merchandise loading zone is a misdemeanor under Sec. 71.99, fined per Sec. 10.99; each day of a continuing violation is a separate offense.

Driveway Rules

Edinburg bans parking any vehicle on the front, side, or rear yard of a single-family lot unless it sits on an approved driveway, parking space, garage, or carport: grass and dirt parking is illegal.

Commercial & Oversized Vehicles
