Overland Park requires licensed haulers to collect residential yard waste, meaning grass clippings, leaves, and tree and brush trimmings, at least once a week for a minimum of 40 weeks each year. Dumpster Rules

Overland Park requires trash containers, trash compactors and roll-off recycling containers at multi-family, non-residential and commercial or industrial sites to be screened on all four sides with a masonry wall and compatible gate under Municipal Code 18.450.100(A), with a narrower exception for small recycling bins.
