Peoria customers must repair a water leak on their property within 14 days of discovery, and the Water Services Director may impose civil sanctions between $250 and $1,000 for each day a leak goes unfixed. Wasting water or letting it run off onto streets is separately prohibited.

The same civil sanction framework applies to unnecessary waste of water and to runoff that leaves a property without beneficial use, and the City may also terminate water service immediately where waste is occurring under Sec. 25-53(a).
