Summary
Unincorporated Jackson County requires child care facilities to get a zoning permit, provide a passenger loading zone, and fence outdoor play areas at least 4 feet high.
The outdoor play areas of a child care facility shall be enclosed with a fence, which shall be built and maintained to a minimum of four (4) feet in height. No play areas shall be permitted in the required front yard.

b. Family Day Care Home. A family day care home, as defined by State law, shall be registered and licensed, by the State and County, as applicable and required by law.

c. Group Day Care Home and Child Day Care Center.
1. A group day care home providing care for up to twenty (20) children or a child day care center, as defined by State law, shall be registered and licensed, by the State and County, as applicable and required by law.
