A folds electrical work into the county's single permit clause: any owner or authorized agent who intends to erect, install, enlarge, alter, repair, remove, convert or replace an electrical system regulated by this code must first apply to the building official and obtain a permit before work begins. A(6) authorizes the building official to require sign-off from other agencies, listing a 'Delaware-recognized electrical inspection agency' among the approvals that may be needed alongside the State Fire Marshal or DNREC. A(2). B exempts specific minor electrical work from permitting: radio and television transmitting station equipment used strictly for transmission, though power-supply wiring and antenna towers still require a permit (B(15)); temporary systems installed solely to test or service electrical equipment (B(16)); portable heating, ventilation, cooling and evaporative cooling equipment (B(17), (19), (20), (23)); self-contained refrigeration systems with 10 pounds or less of refrigerant run by a motor of one horsepower or less (B(24)); and ordinary repairs such as replacing lamps or connecting approved portable equipment to already-installed receptacles, so long as no wiring affecting egress or public safety is altered (B(28)).
