The Clark County Unified Development Code (Title 30) sets maximum structure heights by zoning district. Standard single-family residential (R-1) caps primary structures at 35 feet measured from finished grade to the highest point of the roof, with accessory structures typically capped at 15 feet. Rural Estate and Desert Rural zones allow up to 35 feet for primary dwellings but restrict barns and outbuildings. Commercial districts along the Las Vegas Strip corridor allow towers exceeding 700 feet subject to FAA review. Because the Harry Reid International Airport is located in Paradise within unincorporated Clark County, the Airport Environs Overlay District imposes additional height restrictions under Title 29 based on FAA Part 77 imaginary surfaces. Structures projecting into these surfaces require an FAA Form 7460-1 notice of proposed construction and an Airport Compatibility Review by Clark County Aviation.
