Full Breakdown
Greene County's zoning regulations let residential-district homeowners run limited home occupations, but Article IV, Section 22(A)(11) singles out uses with a tendency to outgrow home-scale limits and bans them outright. Auto repair is listed by name alongside animal hospitals, painting of vehicles, trailers or boats, and general repair shops or service establishments. This applies only to unincorporated county land; Springfield, Republic, Nixa, Willard, Strafford, and Ash Grove enforce their own municipal codes, not this regulation.
Violations & Fines
Operating a banned home occupation is a zoning violation subject to Greene County Resource Management Department enforcement and can require removal of the use; no home occupation permit will be issued for auto repair.
