Tulsa's Zoning Code lets residents run certain home occupations by right (Type 1) or by special exception (Type 2) when accessory to a residential use, but Section 45.100.F carves out a hard prohibited-use list. Item F.1 bars 'any type of assembly, cleaning, maintenance, painting or repair of vehicles or equipment with internal combustion engines' as a home occupation in every zoning district: covering everything from oil changes and detailing to full bodywork done at a residence. The same clause also prohibits home repair of large appliances like washers, dryers or refrigerators. The ban applies regardless of home occupation type, so it cannot be approved even through the Type 2 special exception process.
