LA County Ordinance 2017-0025 (June 2017) β codified in Title 22 β restricts personal cultivation in unincorporated areas (including Altadena) to a maximum of 6 plants per private residence, requires plants to be grown in a locked enclosed space, and prohibits cultivation visible to the public from a public street or sidewalk. Apartment dwellers are restricted to indoor cultivation. Commercial cultivation is banned in unincorporated LA County.
