Unincorporated Bostonia follows San Diego County's Defensible Space ordinance. Combustible vegetation, dry grass and weeds must be cleared within 100 feet of structures and 30 feet of property lines. When removed, weeds and annual grasses may not exceed six inches in height. Overgrowth is a fire-hazard public nuisance.
