Sit-Lie Rules
In the City of Bristol, Connecticut, loitering is defined by Sec. 15-2 to include sitting, standing, lying or pacing in one place, and Sec. 15-2.1(a) bars it on streets, sidewalks, crosswalks and park walkways whenever it obstructs, impedes or interferes with anyone else's use of that space. Bristol Police must first warn the person and give them a chance to leave; only a refusal draws a $90 citation.
