Dublin, California zones card rooms as their own use type under the Alameda County city's Land Use Matrix. A Conditional Use Permit from the Zoning Administrator is required, and it is available only in the C-1, C-2, M-P and M-1 districts. Every residential district, the Agricultural district, C-O, C-N and the M-2 heavy-industrial district exclude card rooms outright, so no discretionary approval can place one there.
