Kenosha exempts one-story residential sheds, playhouses and similar accessory buildings of 120 square feet or less from a Building Code permit, but requires a permit for any size accessory building outside residential zoning. Section 9.06.F gives permitted accessory building work six months to finish.

Permits are required for any Accessory Building of any size in any other zoning district.
