Norwalk charges a 10% Transient Occupancy Tax on any guest who rents a hotel, motel, or similar lodging for 30 consecutive days or less. Operators collect the tax with the rent and remit it to the Finance Director; unpaid tax becomes a debt owed directly to the City.
