Santa Clarita bars motor vehicles from marked bicycle lanes under Municipal Code Section 12.52.040. Drivers may enter a bike lane only to cross at a driveway or to park where parking is otherwise legal or the vehicle is disabled. A companion rule, Section 12.52.050, keeps pedestrians off bike lanes except to cross close to the outer edge.
