Lawn Ornament Rules
Simi Valley exempts holiday yard decorations from the Temporary Use Permit process under Municipal Code Section 9-52.080(C)(4), so lawn ornaments, inflatables, and seasonal displays generally need no City permit. The one carve-out is inflatable balloon displays: anything over two feet from tip to nozzle cannot be displayed at all, and roof-mounted balloons are capped at 30 feet high with no lettering or graphics.
