Parade Permits
Truckee requires a permit before anyone conducts a parade, festival, concert, block party or other special event on a Town street, sidewalk, trail or public right-of-way. The Municipal Code's definition of "Special Event" names parades outright, and TMC 9.05.040 makes it unlawful to sponsor or participate in one without an approved Director of Public Works permit.
