Linden, NJ Code Violation Reporting: How to Report (2026)

The Housing Code's enforcement chapter opens with a preliminary investigation trigger built specifically for citizen reporting. Whenever a building appears unfit for human habitation, occupancy or use, whether from dilapidation, fire hazard defects, lack of ventilation, light or sanitation, or failure to meet minimum building, electrical or fire prevention code standards, the code gives three separate paths to start a case.
