Fire Pits & Backyard Fires
In Bucks County parks, a fire can only be built inside a county-owned fireplace, metal grill or approved public fire ring using appropriate materials. Section 9.12(C)(1) of the Park System Rules and Regulations bars bringing your own fire pit or grill; the only other lawful options are a camp stove in a designated camping area or an open-space fire the Director approves in writing.

Outdoor Burning
Bucks County's Park System Rules flatly prohibit setting fire to any tree, woodland, brush, grassland or meadow, and bar burning any material or property not intended for burning, anywhere within the Park System. Section 9.12(A)-(B) of Ordinance No. 170 as amended by Ordinance No. 174 leaves no self-help exception; an open-space fire needs the Director's written approval in advance and only in a location the Director designates. Park Police enforce it.
