Building Permits

Douglas County requires a building permit from the County Building Division before anyone erects, constructs, reconstructs, alters, or changes the use of any building or structure, or moves a structure onto a lot, in the unincorporated area. Zoning Resolution § 1-211 also blocks permits for work inside an easement without the easement holder's written approval.
