In unincorporated Gordon County, hillside development on land with a natural slope of 25 percent or more inside the Resaca Battlefield Overlay District cannot remove trees outside the building envelope, street, driveway, parking area or utility easement without a permit from the Planning and Development Department and an approved tree replacement plan.

Water Restrictions

In unincorporated Gordon County, Georgia, Section 9-5 of the Gordon County Code allows outdoor landscape watering only between 4:00 p.m. and 10:00 a.m. Thirteen listed uses, including drip irrigation, hand watering with an automatic cutoff hose, food gardens and new plantings for 30 days, are exempt. The Code Enforcement Officer enforces it.
