Lake County IL Forest Preserves close from sunset to sunrise under LCFPD Ordinance §7. Municipal parks in Waukegan, Libertyville, Gurnee, Highland Park, Lake Forest, Vernon Hills and Mundelein typically close at 10-11 PM. Lighted athletic fields may extend to 10-11 PM for scheduled use. After-hours presence is criminal trespass under 720 ILCS 5/21-3.
