Maricopa County Ordinance P-23, § Public Disturbances

It shall be unlawful for any person to cause, or for any person in possession of property to allow to originate from the property, any noise which disturbs the peace or quiet of any neighborhood if such noise can be heard from within closed residential structures located within 500 feet of the boundary of the property from which such noise emanates.

Maricopa County Hours of Construction Ordinance § 102

Construction work (residential): From April 15th to October 15th, inclusive, all construction work in or within 500 feet of Rural or Residential zones as per the Maricopa County Zoning Ordinance, and within 1,500 feet of an occupied residence, shall not begin prior to 5:00 a.m. and must stop by 7:00 p.m. each day.

Maricopa County Ordinance P-6 (Regulation of Barking Dogs)

It shall be unlawful for any person having custody or control of a dog in any unincorporated area of Maricopa County to permit that dog to bark excessively. For purpose of this Ordinance, a bark, yowl, yip or any other noise made naturally by a dog shall be deemed to be a bark.

It is unlawful for any person to operate any motor vehicle that is not equipped with a muffler in good working order and in constant operation to prevent excessive noise. It is unlawful for any person to operate a motor vehicle equipped with a cut-out, by-pass, or similar muffler elimination unit, or to operate a motor vehicle with devices that amplify motor noise or motor vehicle exhaust noise.
