2 rules for unincorporated Mobile County, Alabama.
Verified from official government sources
A food truck operating in Mobile County must be approved by the county Health Officer before it works there. Under Alabama's Food Establishment Sanitation rules a mobile unit needs county approval and must run from an approved commissary. Approval in one county does not carry to another.
Ala. Admin. Code r. 420-3-22-.09
A mobile food establishment or unit shall be approved by the Health Officer to operate within each county before operating within that county.
Mobile County sets no vending zones or location districts for food trucks; it cannot zone unincorporated land. An approved mobile unit may operate wherever the property owner allows, subject only to Health Department approval and traffic-safety rules on public roads.
