Panel Permits

In unincorporated Pima County, a roof-mounted solar array cannot rise more than eight feet above a flat or parapet roofline, or six feet above a gable, hip or gambrel roof, and the combined height still can't exceed the underlying zone's building limit. Ground-mounted systems cap at ten feet, sixteen feet in rural zones. The chief zoning inspector's office administers approval under Pima County Code § 18.07.030(P).
